The Proprietress of Jakcint International School located at Ablorh Adjei Junction in the Greater Accra Region, Mrs Cynthia Koranteng, has revealed that academic excellence is the hallmark of the school, for which reason it scored 100% in the last Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
She said, “Academically, we presented 59 students for the BECE last year and we are proud to inform you that all 59 passed with very good grades and have been placed in various renowned senior high schools in the country, such as Aburi Girls, Ola Girls, Pope John’s SHS, Achimota SHS, Presec SHS, among others.”
“Our students continue to stand out in their academic performance in these aforementioned senior high schools. For instance, a female student in Ola Senior High School who received an award for being the best student in French this year when the school was having its Speech and Prize Giving Day this year,” she added.
Mrs Koranteng made the above disclosure during the 13th Annual Graduation of the school last week.
She reiterated the school’s mission of providing academic excellence to its pupils in their foundation towards life’s journey.
“We are highly optimistic of a future of continuous improvement in all that we do, ” Mrs Koranteng said.
She informed parents that one bus had been added to the existing fleet of vehicles to aid transport arrangements for the school.
“We are happy to inform you that we have replaced one of our buses in the fleet and this makes the number of the replaced buses three within two years,” she disclosed.
Concerning classroom issues, she indicated that in an attempt to make the classrooms more comfortable for teaching and learning, some of the classes were being expanded to a C stream.
She explained that teaching and learning had substantially improved and continued to get better, thereby instilling confidence in the students.
“Infrastructure expansion is in the process of implementation and very soon our dream of a Jakcint Annex will become a reality,” Mrs Koranteng pointed out.
She acknowledged the hard work and dedication of both teaching and non-teaching staff members in achieving the motto of academic excellence.
“We warmly express our sincere gratitude to you parents and guardians for your enormous collaboration and understanding over all these years; we say that we appreciate you so much for your contributions in convincing other parents to bring their children to Jakcint. We hope to work with you more closely in building a better Jakcint,” she stressed.
She expressed her gratitude to all and sundry for their continuous support and dedication to the school.
