The Chief of Beposo in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality, Nana Kwaku Ayeh II, has stated emphatically that he will not tolerate lawlessness in his community.
According to him, drug peddlers are not needed in his community, hence he is putting up strict rules and regulations to stop drug peddling from spreading.
He explained that it overwhelms him when the youth dress inappropriately to social gatherings, adding that it goes contrary to our culture and tradition.
Nana Kwaku Ayeh II made the above statement during a zone A and B cultural festival held over the weekend at the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality.
He bemoaned the loss of our cultural heritage among the youth, adding that lack of good training and parental guidance are contributory factors.
He called on his colleague chiefs to support the youth to learn about our culture for a better future.
“It overwhelms me how the youth are going wayward contrary to our culture. I think it’s as a result of unsatisfactory guidance and parental controls,” he pointed out.
However, he was of the view that all and sundry should help play their roles well in nurturing the future of our country.
“I want to thank the Ghana Education Service for this programme. I am confident that it will aid our children in learning about our tradition. These are some of the educative programmes necessary for the youth,” he stressed.
