Two Killed, One Injured in Fatal Accident at Nsutam on Accra–Kumasi Highway

A tragic road accident involving a fuel tanker and a motorbike has claimed the lives of two people and left another seriously injured at Nsutam Community 5 along the Accra–Kumasi Highway near the newly established Bunso University of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences (UEAS).

According to eyewitnesses, the motorbike, with registration number M-20-AS (8508), was carrying the rider and two female passengers when it attempted to cross the highway. Eyewitnesses indicated that the rider allegedly failed to properly check for oncoming vehicles before crossing the road.

The fuel tanker, bearing registration number GH 2205-26, which was travelling from Kumasi towards Accra, reportedly collided with the motorbike. The impact was severe, resulting in the instant death of the rider and one of the female passengers at the scene.

The second female passenger sustained serious injuries and reportedly became unconscious. She has been rushed to Hawa Memorial Hospital, Osiem, where she is currently receiving medical attention.
