President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama will today begin a two-day Resetting Ghana tour of the Savannah Region, starting from Sawla.
As part of the visit, the President is expected to launch the National Business, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (BSTEM) initiative for basic schools and inspect key road projects, including the Sawla-Wa Highway and the Bole-Tinga Road under the government’s Big Push Programme.
The tour will also feature a sod-cutting ceremony for the Bole 24-hour Economy Model Market, inspections of development projects at Bole College of Education, and the inauguration of the Mahama ICT Centre in Damongo.
President Mahama is further expected to commission a number of educational projects and pay courtesy calls on traditional authorities, including the Yagbonwura.
The itinerary will also include a direct engagement with residents at Ndewura Jakpa SHS, where the President, together with key sector ministers, will discuss government achievements, ongoing policies, and address concerns raised by residents.
The tour will conclude with an inspection of the proposed Savannah Regional Hospital project.
