Passport Office denies claims that Fella Makafui has been issued diplomatic or service passport

The Ghana Passport Office has dismissed claims circulating on social media that actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has been issued a Service or Diplomatic Passport.

In a public notice posted on its official social media platforms, the Passport Office described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them.

“Please disregard and treat with contempt the blatant falsehood that Fella Makafui has been issued a Service or Diplomatic Passport,” the statement said.

The Office clarified that the actress possesses only an ordinary Ghanaian passport.

“Fella Makafui holds and uses Ghana’s prestigious Ordinary Passport like every other Ghanaian and nothing more,” it added.

The clarification follows a social media post by Pro-NPP commentator P.K. Sarpong, who suggested that Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa had granted Fella Makafui a service passport.

In the Facebook post, Sarpong wrote: “Nigel Gaisie, what crime have you and Badu Kobi committed against Mirror of Lies, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa? He has given Fella Makafui a service passport while you two have been ignored like plagues. You toiled in vain paaa.”

The Passport Office cautioned against the spread of misinformation.

“Those seeking attention through misinformation should verify their facts before attempting to mislead the public,” the Office stated.
